🧠 Walmart + OpenAI: ChatGPT Instant Checkout Is Live

Walmart is officially transforming how shoppers buy, with ChatGPT Instant Checkout, built in partnership with OpenAI.

Customers can now browse, get recommendations, and purchase, all in one chat.

  • Instant Checkout merchants get priority visibility in AI shopping results.
  • Those not opted in risk being left out of AI-driven searches entirely.

This is part of Walmart’s shift toward agentic commerce, where AI learns, plans, and predicts shopper needs before they do.

🚨 New Seller Performance Standard: Negative Feedback Rate

Starting early 2026, Walmart will introduce a Negative Feedback Rate metric under Seller Performance Standards.

You’ll need to maintain a rate ≤ 2% over the past 60 days to stay in good standing.
